Week 5: Short and Sweet

This week went by quickly. But KIM K didn’t pay any attention and made progress regardless.

We started by printing and assembling two designs to assist our shredder output.
The first, a Rotating Mesh Filter, performed better than baseline, but was inefficient considering its size and the number of moving parts. It still looked impressive though!

The second design, a simple screen, produced significantly improved results, and Florence’s CAD mastery allowed us to present confidently at the Prototype Evaluation on Friday, even as Megan was out sick.

This week, I spent most of my time coordinating deliveries, responding to emails, and general busywork as I waited for our designs to print.
On Thursday, SEED took a field trip to the Ion, where we took a tour and networked. With luck, some of those individuals will attend the Design Showcase, which is just two weeks away!

At the time of writing, I can’t wait to attend the Futbol match, which several members of SEED are attending as a group. It’ll be tons of fun!

Until next time, Q
