Week 7: Country Roads, Take me Home

Hello my Mountain mamas dear blog readers, my name is Eduardo Pagnoncelli Lorandi ( This is not West Virginia right? ) and this week I’ll back to the place, where I belong.

OK, done with John Denver’s iconic song references.

This was the last week! Yay! Not.

Lots of pressure in our presentation, and lots of work that has to be done: but that’s the way I like it.

In the beginning of the week, our “final prototype” was still not fully functional, and that also means we could not test it, so on Friday and Monday we started developing our Check system, which should verify if the data from the sensor and from the lines were relevant, and in the case any of them were bad, we would throw it out from the final Inner Diameter. After we successfully implemented it, we separated our jobs since we had only two days to make the presentations, the check system for the Arduino program, and the tests.

Julia and Arisa were responsible to make the presentation slides and also draw flowcharts our algorithms (check system, OD to ID, etc…) so it would be easier to the audience understand, and also for transfer documentation, while Nick and I did the testings and polished our code.

Our check system

With everything done, we were able to do our presentations, and it went pretty well! Now we have to cleanup our stuff and also prepare our Transfer Document, which will be very challenging since our solution was mostly software/research/statistics based.

Also, I have ton of stuff to do since this is my last week, from packing up my stuff and preparing to the departure, to going to the places I haven’t visited before. But still, my time here in Houston was awesome! I could not only visit new places, but mostly learn about a different culture from mine, and have the opportunity to experience a slightly different lifestyle of what I was used.
